It's a Little Known Fact...

It's a little known fact that Optimus Prime was almost the first grilled cheese casualty. There's a little known first draft of "Heavy Metal War" that didn't have a single mention of a power chip rectifier. Instead, Megatron challenged Optimus to a sandwich making contest, as per Cybertronian law. The newly-created Constructicons were built to build the ultimate griddle that would be about to make delicious grilled cheese and other assorted hot sandwiches using solar power to banish the Autobots...FOREVER! *ahem* Sorry... Well, Prime only brought cold cuts and was no match for Megatron's hot sandwiches. The second storyline involving the Constructicons breaking into Autobot Headquarters was in this first draft as well, except all they were doing was raiding the fridge. Slag had already called the leftovers and fighting therefore ensued after Slag's signature line "Give me, Slag, back that swiss steak."
It was later determined that this idea wasn't very plausible, so they went with the far more logical power chip rectifier and have Megatron be able to teleport just because he has a new chip in his head. It's really too bad that the sandwich version didn't make it. Imagine the philosophical discussions we could have had with Prime's dialogue including "Who knew Megatron had so many different kinds of cheese" and "Oooo, is that grilled cheese?"
