"Cosmos, you're absolutely right," Optimus Prime says. "Humans definitely aren't ready or spaceships. You know they'd probably think we were invading aliens if they saw you."

Optimus Prime opens his rear doors and Cosmoshappily flies out of the truck. He soars shyward and zooms in the direction from which the Autobots have just come. What a way to go, he thinks. Give me wings any day? Who needs wheels? They just slow the world down.

Cosmos whizzes along and soon reaches the deserted hills. He uses his communicator to ask Smokescreen the coordinates of the fortress. In a flash he's there and looking for the smaller team of Autobots.

But the Autobots are nowhere in sight. The double doors to the fortress stand wide open. "What a welcome," says Cosmos. "Waiting for me with open doors!" He makes a bumpy landing on the soft, sandy soil and pauses in from of the cliff, listening and waiting. He doesn't hear a sound. He tries communicating with Smokescreen, but nothing happens.

Cosmos transforms into his robot form and cautiously steps through the doors into the fortress beyond. Are the Autobots inside? Why can't he rouse Smokescreen on his communicator? If they're not here, he thinks, it's up to me to save the world. He starts down a corridor.

Suddenly Cosmos hears a door creak open.
