Inside the Decepticons' lab, there's a large panel full of buttons and levers.

"Have a seat, make yourselves at home," Megatron commands Beachcomber and Buster. "Now sit back and watch the radar screen. The bull's-eye is Center City and the black line headed toward it is the Destructicon Beam."

Beachcomber lunges for the panel and manages to punch the button before Megatron and the others can stop him. He waits for the Destructicon Beam to stop and…

Nothing happens!

"Valiant effort, Autobot," Megatron says sarcastically, "but the panel is a fake. The real control button is over there." He points to a metal shape on the wall across the room. "Now sit down and enjoy the show!" Megatron pushes Beachcomber roughly into a chair.

Starscream starts counting. "Five, four, three, two one…" Horrified, Beachcomber and Buster watch the Destructicon Beam make contact with Center City.

"And now," Megatron says, "Rumble is outside Center City. He will send a few groundwaves to set the earthquake in motion."

He pulls out his nuclear-powered fusion cannon. "As a parting thought," he adds, "you won't be dying alone. In less than two hours, London, Paris, Washingtion, D.C., and Moscow will all be gone, too. Sweet dreams!"

Megatron pulls the trigger!
