As the deafening roar dies down, Cosmos, Red Alert, and the rest of the Autobots race to the fortress entrance and look out. In the east, they see a huge bluish cloud of dust rising toward the sky. It's all that's left of Center City.

Cosmos is sure that the lead team of Autobots there fought Rumble and the other Decepticons bravely. Still, there was nothing they could do once the Destruction Beam reached its destination. And when the earth opened up and every building in Center City crumbled, the Autobots also slid into the gaping holes in the ground.

But there's a happy side to the story, too. Back at the fortress, the Autobots were in control. Cosmos somberly destroys the lab. "The destruction of the Destruction Beam! That's the end of Megatron's plan," he says.

"But we didn't wipe out all the Decepticons, and Center City is destroyed," Powerglide reminds him.

"That's true," agrees Cosmos, "but we saved the world and we got rid of a bunch of powerful enemies too! It's going to be much harder for Megatron to mess around with the earthlings now that he doesn't have a lab anymore. Now lets get of here an back to headquarters. This war with the Decepticons isn't over yet. In fact, it's just beginning…"
