Beachcomber, Buster, and Jessie reach Autobot headquartrers on the double. Mirage devises a brilliant plan.

In a few minutes, Mirage and Beachcomber are driving back to the Decepticons' fortress. They brake in front of the hideout, then sneak inside through the secret entrance. Finding a safe hiding place, mirage projects his image at the end of the long corridor.

Buzzsaw, hurrying unsuspectingly down the hall, catches sight of the threatening image of Mirage. "An Autobot!" he cries.

Buzzsaw lunges—and the "Autobot" disappears. Mirage projects his image to another spot, then another, and yet another. "The fortress is overrun!" shouts Buzzsaw as he pushes an alarm button. "I've got to protect the lab!"

"Follow that Decepticon!" whispers Mirage to Beachcomber. They race after Buzzsaw and he leads them straight to the lab. Mirage and Beachcomber creep up behind him and quickly overpower the confused Decepticon. Pulling out their weapons, they blow Megatron's lab to bits and the Destruction Beam with it.

"Now run for it!" shouts Beachcomber. As the Autobots race toward the fortress exit, they hear Megatron's harsh voice addressing the Decepticons. "An Autobot army attack. To your battle stations!"

Beachcomber grins. "Sometimes your worst enemy is your imagination."
