Beachcomber listens carefully so that he and Buster can follow the voices of the Decepticons and Jessie. He looks around the little cave just inside the fortress. A strip of light along the floor leaks out from underneath the door. Beachcomber feels around for the doorknob and pushes the door open a crack.

"Let me go!" Jessie shouts nearby.

Buster nudges Beachcomber. "Bingo!" he whispers.

Then they hear a cold, hollow voice silence Jessie. "Hush, human! You are now our prisoner, to do with how we please." The voices fade away.

Beachcomber pulls Buster into the wide, bright hall. Turning the corner several yards away are two Decepticons. One of them has Jessie slung over his shoulder, but she's struggling like mad. The Autobot and his human friend tiptoe behind them, hugging the rocky wall. Finally, the evil robots toss Jessie into a small, dim room, locking the metal door from the outside. "That ought to hold her," says one.

Jessie pounds furiously on the walls of her cell. The Decepticons stroll calmly down the hall. When they're out of sight, Beachcomber and Buster step up to Jessie's door.
