Desperately hoping to end the panic they've caused in Center City, the Autobots transform into vehicular mode. But by now they've run out of time.

Very softly, the ground beneath Center City begins to shake. The Destruction Beam has hit! Then, from behind a building, Rumble steps forward. He begins pounding his fists against the ground. Huge cracks open in the earth, swallowing up people and cars. Sections of road fall in. Buildings crumble and crash down in smoking, dusty heaps. Five Autobots are lost in a gaping fissure that suddenly appears in the ground.

Just as things begin to quiet down, a figure roars through the sky.

"That's Thundercracker," says Beachcomber sadly. "The Decepticons must be on their way here to make sure no one in Center City survives. It looks like the Autobots at the Decepticons' fortress failed too."

Then the ground splits again as earthquake after earthquake tears the city apart. More Autobots and people fall helplessly into the depths of the earth. Then Optimus Prime himself falls in.

Above them, Megatron laughs wickedly. The Decepticons move into the ruins of Center City to make sure on one and nothing is left alive.

The most powerful Autobots are lost forever and, worst of all, Megatron has the whole world in his iron grip. Too bad humans haven't set up a moon station yet, because life on earth is going to be pretty unpleasant from now on.
