Beachcomber backs away from the entrance of the cliff face. He figures that if the doors opened for him once, they'll probably open a second time. And those human voices he heard aren't going to wait. He decides to transform into his vehicular mode again. The humans would be suspicious if they saw a robot. In an instant, he looks like just another dune buggy.

Beachcomber bounces over the rocky terrain, sending up clouds of dust. All at once, he rounds a towering boulder and finds himself face to face with two humans--Buster and Jessie!

"Beachcomber?" Buster asks. "Is that you?"

"It sure is," Beachcomber says, glad to see his human friends instead of the ominous strangers he'd expected. Buster's father, Sparkplug, is a friend of the Autobots.

"Boy, am I happy you're here!" exclaims Buster.

"We were exploring," says Jessie breathlessly, "and guess what happened!"

"We stumbled onto the Decepticons' fortress," Buster relates breathlessly. "It's inside this cliff, and we found a secret passageway to it! We overheard Megatron explaining his new plan. It's just awful. The Decepticons are going to take over the world!"
